Gospel-Centered Counseling…
  • Acknowledges the root problem is within us as individuals—in our responses, attitudes, actions, motivations, thinking, etc.
  • Looks for the ultimate solution outside of ourselves in the person and work of Jesus Christ within us.
  • Equips us to respond to what has happened or is happening in our lives with the grace and strength of Christ.
  • Relies on a lifestyle of repentance and faith in Christ for real growth and change.

Anyone seeking counseling should contact Crossroads. Sid Siebert, Counseling Ministry Coordinator, will contact the individual to set an appointment to meet for an initial assessment. Following that assessment, Sid will help the individual decide if Crossroads Counseling Ministry is a good fit for them. If so, Sid will pair the individual or couple with a volunteer counselor.

Our volunteer counselors do not function as professional mental health therapists. Volunteer counselors are trained in the use of the Scriptures in counseling settings. They are committed to the authority of the Scriptures and the reality that hope and change come through Christ alone:

HOPE: Because in Jesus Christ we have a great high priest who has been tempted in all things, yet without sin. Even though every sin common to man may be tempting you, God has promised that He will not let you be tempted beyond your endurance, but will provide for you the way to escape from sin so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10:13; Hebrews 4:14-16)

CHANGE: Because in Christ we can learn to lay aside the old selfish ways of living and put on the new ways of living in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Ephesians 4:20-24; Colossians 1:10)

Crossroads Counseling Ministry is able to operate because of your financial donations. The expenses of Crossroads Counseling Ministry are not underwritten by any individual or corporation. Therefore, it is through the donations of our counselees that the operating expenses of the Crossroads Counseling Ministry are met. The fair-market-value of counseling in this area ranges from $75.00 to $125.00 per 50-minute session. Your responsibility is to pray about the amount God would have you donate for the counseling you receive and be obedient to Him in your giving. Donations between $30 and $75 are expected at each visit.

Donations should be in accord with what a man or woman has, not according to what he or she does not have. Therefore, no one will be refused counseling because of the amount of their donation.
