MISSION & VISION

The body of Crossroads is intimately connected by one life-changing commonality: our relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the head of the Church and we are all part of a "body" that makes up His Church. As body parts, we are connected to the head of Jesus, and therefore, are also connected to each other. We live out this connection as we worship together, learn together, share life together, serve together, and encourage one another to grow and obey our Lord Jesus Christ. As members of His body, we are committed to following His mandate through our mission according to the vision He has given us.

CHRIST'S MANDATE

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20)

OUR MISSION

Crossroads exists to help people discover and grow to maturity & mission in Christ.

OUR VISION

To encourage and equip Crossroads people to missionally and prayerfully proclaim the word locally, regionally, and world wide reproducing the life of Christ in others who will reproduce.

KEY INITIATIVES

Samaritan Ministry

Locally, we are committed to equip our under resourced neighbors to manage life by trusting in Christ for salvation and the basic provisions of life. Samaritan mentors develop meaningful relationships to help people 1) steward their resources according to biblical principles, 2) work for God's glory, 3) trust Christ for salvation and God's provision for basic needs, 4) and give to others out of God's abundant provision.

Church Planting

Regionally, we are committed to establishing reproducing communities of Christ followers in neighboring counties. In 2009, Crossroads Napoleon began holding public services as our first church plant. In 2013 we partnered with Archbold Evangelical Church to plant King's Cross Church in Defiance. In 2015, Crossroads, along with five other FEC churches started the Tri-State Church Planting Co-op and worked with them to get a church started in Deshler, Ohio. Crossroads and the Co-op have since planted gospel-centered churches in Reading, Michigan, Waldron, Michigan, Adrian, Michigan and Wooster, Ohio. We will continue to eagerly explore opportunities as we learn of needs and connections in neighboring communities.

International Missions

Internationally, we are committed to being an authentic faith community, well-informed about and passionately committed to establishing reproducing communities of Christ followers, specifically in India, southern Africa, and the Basque country of Spain. In 2019 we began the Southern Africa Church Planting Initiative in partnership with the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches, the Evangelical Church of Zimbabwe and others to plant churches in rural villages all throughout southern Africa.
